Are you using affiliate landmines?
By admin | September 9, 2009
The turtles have had me befuddled the last couple of weeks. Usually if I get them feeder fish they are gone in an hour or two. The last two times though they got a few the first hour and then ignored them.
After watching them in action I came to the conclusion that as they have grown they just are not fast enough to catch the fish. (The ones that go in the first hour are almost exclusively caught by the baby.)
Two days later the 11 fish that were in the tank were reduced to just 5 in the morning. Something had set them off on a feeding binge.
It was not until two nights ago that I stopped back to check my email before bed and I saw what was happening. Gizzard was laying on the bottom all sucked into his shell the way he normally sleeps. The fish were scavenging the bottom and totally ignoring Gizzard. After all they see him there every night sleeping.
Bam! Out came the head and there was one less fish. Gizzard didn’t want to chase them but was more than happy to let them come to him.
Now how does this apply to you and marketing?
You need to be using affiliate landmines. You set them about and Bam! someone finds the link and clicks it. You get paid.
Now how do you set these up? This is why there are so many free reports, rebrandable ebooks available. They have good content and the important part is when they do recommend a product it has your affiliate link.
You give them away and as people read them and click they set off your land mine and you get paid.
Now you do not have to create your own with the number of rebrandable books available. Just get the rebranding rights and give them away. Here are a few that I use regularly. (By the way you can get each of these free but will need to pay to rebrand them.)
Internet Marketing Success Formula
There are many more and you can access quite a few in one place at Viral Ebook Explosion.
Start setting your land mines by giving away value and let people come to you instead of chasing them. It works for turtles.

Definitely a good plan to set up landmines. I have often glanced at the Viral Ebook Explosion but not thoroughly gone through it. Will have to pay closer attention to it now. Thanks.

Good advice!
Also, if you can have your market come to you and search you out to pay you, the more time and money you will have to do more promotions and create more products.

Thanks for this info on land mines. I have used a lot of rebrandable books but have never heard them referred to as land mines. A lot of the ones I have used came from Viral Ebook Explosion. This is a resource that internet marketers should take a look at.

Oh, yes!
Affiliate landmines are absolutely awesome! I still get occasional sales from things that I have no idea where they are even coming from any more.
While the fact that I can’t remember where they came from may have something to do with old age
there is no better feeling than getting a sale from something that you had left set out months or even years ago!
