Are you giving people what they want?

Okay yesterday the turtle tank got cleaned and now they are rearranging everything to their liking. Yes it does not matter what I think the turtle tank should look like but how they want it.
See as soon as I finish leveling the gravel and arranging the plants they immediately started their rearranging.
Now how does this apply to you and your business? See we do want to learn from these 3 adorable turtles 
(Yes I know there are only two in the pic they just won’t sit for pics. Independent cusses that they are.)
One of the biggest problems I see people have and have been guilty of all too many times is doing what happens with the turtles.
I arranged things the way I wanted but they changed it to suit themselves. If you are selling a product you need to give your customers what they want NOT WHAT YOU THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE.
See unlike the turtles who don’t have a choice but to adapt what I did to the tank. Your customers just ignore what you are doing. Your customer is not going to buy something and rearrange it to suit themselves but will just decide that your offer is not for them.
How do you know what they want?
Do some research. Check out what questions are being asked in forums on your topic. Check the various affiliate programs and see what products are selling best.
Ask them. You can do that easily as there are services that allow you to do that or you can buy a script that will allow you to do that like Easy Poll Creator.
Don’t depend on just the polls though. Once you have answers test them. People often say one thing but actually do something else. Big surprise huh?
Try different delivery mechanisms – written, audio, video. Test and track which works best and then you will know what people want.
So the question is are you giving people what they want?
